Account & Data Deletion
At Nelu, we respect your privacy and provide users with the ability to request deletion of their account and associated data.
How to Request Account Deletion
Users can request account deletion directly within the Nelu app:

Open the Nelu app
Sign in with the account you want to delete.

Go to Settings
Open the Settings section from the main menu.

Select "Request Account Deletion"
You will find this option inside Settings.

Submit your deletion request
Confirm the request — our team is notified immediately and will follow up by email.
You may also request deletion by contacting our support team at [email protected]. Please include the email address associated with your account when submitting a request so we can verify your identity.
What Happens When You Request Deletion
Once your request is verified and processed, the following are removed:
- Your user account
- Associated profile information
- Classroom-related personal data associated with your account, where applicable
- Uploaded face redaction enrollment data and reference images
- Authentication access to the platform
Data That May Be Retained Temporarily
Certain limited records may be retained for a short period where required for:
- Security and fraud prevention
- Legal compliance
- Childcare safety documentation
- System backup recovery
- Dispute resolution
Any retained data is securely protected and deleted according to our retention policies.
Processing Time
Within 30 days
Deletion requests are typically processed within 30 days. You will receive confirmation by email once your request has been completed.
Additional Data Controls
Nelu also provides optional controls within the app to:
- Delete enrolled face redaction data
- Withdraw media-sharing consent preferences
- Manage privacy settings
